Helen Renfrew

Helen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1994 and spent 10 years working in general practice in the South West and North of England. Whilst in practice, she studied for the Royal College Certificate in Veterinary Radiology which she gained in 2003. After a sabbatical period travelling around the world solo, Helen spent a year in maternity cover posts in diagnostic imaging at the University of Bristol and the University of Liverpool. She completed a residency in diagnostic imaging at the University of Bristol in 2009 where she also gained her European Diploma in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.

The last ten years she has spent providing diagnostic imaging services to first opinion and referral establishments on a peripatetic basis, and a teleradiology group.

Helen really enjoyed her regular visit to Eastcott Veterinary Referrals and we’re delighted that she is now a permanent member of the team.

Helen greatly enjoys her role as a radiologist, both for the wide variety of interesting cases she sees and for the support she can provide.

The amount of time she spent in practice allows her great empathy towards owners and their pets, and a thorough understanding of the role performed by her colleagues.
