The Orthopaedic Referral service is run by our senior orthopaedic surgeon Duncan Barnes MA VetMB DSAS (Orth) MRCVS RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery (Orthopaedics), Fabio Frazzica
DVM, CertAVP (GSAS), PgDip (VPS), MRCVS and Filippo Cinti DVM, PhD, MRCVS.
RCVS Accredited Hospital facilities allow the accurate diagnosis of orthopaedic problems using radiography, computed tomography, ultrasonography and arthroscopy.
We have excellent equipment for the management of a wide range of diseases including the polyaxial locking plate (PAX) system, Synthes Small Fragment Locking Compression (LCP) plate system, String of Pearls (SOP) locking plate system and both linea and ring external fixators. We have expertise in all available surgical treatment options for cruciate disease including tibial plateau levelling osteotomy (TPLO), cranial closing wedge osteotomy (CCWO), tibial tuberosity advancement (TTA) and extra-capsular lateral suture techniques.
