Rotating internship programme – applications for Summer 2023 now open

Running alongside our referral departments, Eastcott Veterinary Referrals is proud to offer a high-quality rotating internship programme.

An internship programme consists in a one-year long position held by experienced veterinary surgeons who have previously worked in primary care practice and are looking to further their knowledge and skills by learning in practice alongside specialists.

During their year at Eastcott Veterinary Referrals, our interns assist our clinicians in providing outstanding care to our patients, whilst acquiring in-depth hands-on practical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of the more complex aspects of veterinary medicine.

The practical skills gained during the year at Eastcott Veterinary Referrals are complimented by a weekly series of theoretical seminars covering all specialities and designed to provide our interns with a robust well-rounded experience, making Eastcott Veterinary Referrals’ Internship programme an excellent stepping-stone towards the next step of their career (often residencies and specialisation).

Our internship programme offers rotations in Internal Medicine, Soft tissue surgery, Orthopaedic surgery, Dentistry and Oro-maxillo-facial surgery, Ophthalmology, Diagnostic Imaging and Anaesthesia. Our interns also partake in the night duties alongside our team of experienced nurses and ECC team, offering the best care to our patients 24/7 and answering emergency calls.
