Nursing
Nursing care is an essential part of the treatment patients receive at our hospital and we are very proud of the high standards of the nursing care we provide. Each patient receives individual nursing care dependent on their needs, which helps optimise their recovery.
Our nursing team is made up of our Registered Veterinary Nurses, Patient Care Assistants and our Student Veterinary Nurses.
Many of our RVNs have passed further advanced qualifications in veterinary nursing. Some of have further specialised within specific areas such as medicine, neurology and theatre nursing where they work solely, supporting that area of the hospital with their expertise.

Referral Nursing – CPD shadowing days
To support skills development for RVNs, we offer a limited number of day-long shadowing opportunities. You will spend a day working alongside and learning from our fabulous RVNs.
Although a lot will depend on caseloads on the day, we aim to give you exposure to the various roles that make nursing in a referral hospital. A day shadowing our experienced referral nursing team is a rewarding experience and will count towards your annual CPD credits.
