After qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College London in 2011, Vanessa enjoyed three years in general practice before returning to complete the RVC’s internship programme.
She was fortunate enough to continue her studies at the RVC, undertaking a residency in internal medicine to gain diplomate status of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and a master’s degree. Since 2018 Vanessa worked as a staff clinician at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, RVC, supervising interns and residents, as well as teaching undergraduate vet and nursing students.
She was a member of the feline diabetic remission, hypophysectomy and radioactive iodine clinics. In addition to endocrinology, Vanessa also has a special interest in gastroenterology and immunology.
Vanessa has been excited to join Eastcott Referral's medicine team and has taken on an important additional role helping to support the hospital's rotating internship programme.
Once COVID 19 restrictions have eased, Vanessa is particularly looking forward to developing relationships with our local veterinary practices as well as contributing to Eastcott's Green team to create a more environmentally sustainable referral hospital.
