Tristan Merlin

Head of Anaesthesia

Tristan qualified in 2013 from Nantes University (France) and pursued his training with a rotating internship in small animals in Lyon University where he developed an interest for anaesthesia and intensive care. In 2014, he started an anaesthesia internship alongside a Masters of Science degree focusing on physiology under extreme conditions. Tristan then moved to the UK to start an anaesthesia residency at the Royal Veterinary College in London, studying toward the European Diploma in Anaesthesia and Analgesia. He joined our referral team in August 2018.

Tristan is interested in all aspects of anaesthesia and analgesia but more specifically the multidisciplinary and intensive management of critical cases and multimodal analgesia.

Outside of work, Tristan likes running, travelling and spending time at home with his partner and their rescue cat, Martha.
