New addition to Internal Medicine team

We’re delighted to announce that Pedro Alves has joined our Internal Medicine team

Pedro’s move to Eastcott comes after previously working at two other Linnaeus-owned veterinary hospitals – Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in Hampshire and DWR Veterinary Specialists in Cambridgeshire.

Pedro, who graduated from the University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 2014, explained: “First of all, I completed a rotating internship at Dick White Referrals in 2019.

“Then, in June, I completed a residency in small animal internal medicine at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists.

“Now, I’m really looking forward to becoming a key part of the expert team at Eastcott Referrals and to contribute to maintaining the high standards of care provided at the hospital.

“I enjoy all aspects of internal medicine, particularly endoscopy and respiratory disease, and I’m keen to continue to grow my skills and build my experience as part of this great team.”

Eastcott hospital director Niki Burton said: “We’re delighted to welcome Pedro and I’m sure he will prove to be a valuable addition to the hospital.

“He’s joining a specialist-led internal medicine team that has a great depth and breadth of experience, which handles a great variety of cases, including intensive care cases involving our more critical patients.

“Pedro and the team also have access to state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, which gives them the ability to treat most medical diseases, along with first-class facilities through the hospital.”
