Diagnostic Excellence

Our AI-enabled High-Field MRI scanner provides the latest in 3D high-resolution imaging of the spine and brain.  Our expert in-house radiology team push the limits in image quality and allow us to obtain extremely high-quality images in the smallest patients.

We are also lucky to have a purpose-built neurodiagnostics suite that allows us to perform advanced electrodiagnostic testing, including nerve conduction studies and electromyography for conditions of the peripheral nervous system, EEG (electroencephalography) for epilepsy investigations, and in-house cerebrospinal fluid analysis with cytospin. These high-level capabilities enable us to achieve a precise diagnosis in complex cases.

Fully equipped for emergencies

We are available to see neurological emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Our purpose-build ICU is staffed by dedicated emergency and critical-care clinicians, supported by a specialist-led team of anaesthesia and analgesia clinicians and nurses.  This gives us the capability to look after very unwell and unstable patients, such as those suffering significant head trauma.

Gold-standard surgical treatment

We frequently perform neurosurgery for carefully selected patients that require it

  • Spinal surgery for conditions such as disc extrusions (IVDD or ‘slipped disc’), wobbler syndrome or lumbosacral disease
  • Spinal stabilisation surgery with implants for patients proven to have unstable areas of their spine.  We employ the latest in 3D printing technology and can produce models rapidly in-house.  Where appropriate, we use the most advanced veterinary pedicle screw and rod system available.
  • We also have considerable neurosurgical experience dealing with tumours affecting the nervous system, and to cure patients and restore quality of life whenever possible.
