Referral Veterinary Nursing Team
At the heart of our referral hospital is a highly skilled and compassionate team of Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) who deliver exceptional patient care across a wide range of specialist disciplines. Our nurses bring together extensive clinical knowledge, advanced technical ability, and a deep dedication to animal welfare, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care.
Specialist Nursing Teams. Many of our referral nurses work within dedicated specialist services, including areas such as internal medicine, surgery, neurology, ophthalmology, dentistry, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, and inpatient care. Each nurse develops advanced expertise within their chosen discipline, supporting complex cases, assisting with specialist procedures, and providing tailored nursing plans to meet the needs of every patient.
Multidisciplinary Nurses. Alongside our specialist teams, we have a talented group of multidisciplinary nurses who rotate across all services within the hospital. Their broad skill set and adaptability play an essential role in keeping our hospital running smoothly. These nurses are trained to manage a wide variety of cases and work seamlessly across departments, ensuring continuity of care and a consistent, reassuring experience for patients and clients alike.
Anaesthesia Nursing. Our dedicated anaesthesia nursing team supports all departments requiring sedation or general anaesthesia. Working closely with our veterinary anaesthetists, these nurses provide expert peri-anaesthetic care, monitor patients throughout procedures, and ensure the safe and effective recovery of every animal. Their advanced training in anaesthesia, analgesia, and patient stabilisation is vital to the success of each surgical or diagnostic intervention.
Imaging Nursing Team. Our imaging nurses play a vital role in supporting the diagnostic services within the hospital. Working alongside board-certified radiologists and imaging clinicians, they assist with a range of advanced diagnostic procedures including CT, MRI, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound. These nurses are specially trained to provide safe, calm handling for patients undergoing imaging, ensure appropriate sedation or anaesthesia is in place, and operate imaging equipment to the highest clinical standards. Their precision, attention to detail, and strong understanding of diagnostic workflows help us achieve accurate, timely results, supporting our clinicians in delivering the best possible outcomes for every patient.
A Unified Team, Committed to Excellence. Whether working within a specialty, across multiple services, or in theatre and anaesthesia, every member of our nursing team shares a common goal: delivering exceptional, compassionate care to every patient who comes through our doors. Their professionalism, experience, and dedication are invaluable to our clinical teams—and central to the high standard of service we provide to pets and their families.
