The team at Eastcott Veterinary Referrals are happy to provide advice on cases on the basis of information provided to us. However, this advice should not be considered as an alternative to referral. If advice is based on the interpretation of digital images please be aware that visual information can be lost due to compression of the images or use of file types other than DICOM and this could lead to an error in our interpretation of the images. Please provide images in DICOM format where-ever possible. For clinical photographs we are happy to provide advice on the basis of the information present but a full diagnosis and treatment plan can only be provided once the patient has been referred, allowing us to obtain a full history, and perform a clinical examination and investigations as deemed necessary. It is the responsibility of the clinician in charge of the case to interpret any advice offered in the context of the animal’s clinical history, the physical examination and appropriate investigations. Eastcott Veterinary Referrals accepts no liability for treatment decisions based on our interpretation of images alone or informal advice we have provided in the absence of referral.
