Ellie graduated from the University of Glasgow Veterinary Medicine in 2011 with commendation. She worked in mixed practice for just under a year before moving to a small animal hospital in Berkshire to undertake a certificate in small animal surgery. She followed this with a rotating internship then a ECVS surgical residency at one of the largest multidisciplinary private referral centres in Europe.

Ellie became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in early 2023 after passing the specialist certifying exam.  She enjoys all aspects of small animal orthopaedic surgery but has a particular interest joint replacement, fractures and orthopaedic conditions affecting the elbow.
