After graduating Elena performed a rotating internship at a referral hospital in Paris, followed by an orthopaedic and neurosurgery internship at a referral hospital in Surrey. Elena then spent 2 years in general practice until 2016 when she started her ECVS residency at a busy private referral hospital in Nantes. Since finishing her residency in 2019 Elena worked for 2 years at a referral practice in Bristol.
