Beau’s Journey: Battling a Canine Skull Tumor
Beau, a 7-year-old male neutered German Shepherd, was referred to us in June 2025 for investigation and treatment of a slow-growing mass on the back of his skull.
CT confirmed an osteoproliferative mass originating from the nuchal crest, the appearance of which was typical for multilobular tumour of bone, also known as a multilobular osteochondrosarcoma (MLO). The histopathological diagnosis of MLO was confirmed with a minimally invasive biopsy.
