Tracheal Stent In Yorkshire Terrier With Severe Tracheal Collapse

Tracheal Stent In A Yorkie With Severe Tracheal Collapse

Pip a 10 year old Yorkie was referred for treatment. He was having severe problems with tracheal collapse, especially in the heat. Pip had an especially designed stent deployed to treat severe tracheal collapse. The little Yorkshire Terrier had an unusually tapered trachea and so a stent had to be custom made and shipped transatlantically to give him the best chance of a good long term outcome. We all hope he goes on to make a full recovery, so far so good!
