Tracheal Stent Surgery
Stent surgery in a dog with tracheal collapse
Tracheal collapse often affects toy and small-breed dogs especially Yorkshire Terriers, Miniature Poodles, Pomeranians, Chihuahuas and Pugs. Whilst medical management will provide sufficient control for the majority of these cases, the most severely affected dogs with tracheal collapse will benefit from surgical intervention.
This dog was admitted in the morning and all went so well that the owners took it home the same day. They noticed an immediate improvement.
