Clare Drury

Neurology Intern

Clare is from Dublin and graduated from University College Dublin in 2016. She spent the first six years after graduation working in busy small animal hospitals in the USA and Ireland.

She then decided to pursue her goal of specialising in Veterinary Neurology, by completing a postgraduate certificate and rotating internship with the Department of Companion Animals at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island in Canada. She was delighted to receive the opportunity to join the welcoming neurology team at Eastcott Referrals this year, as a neurology/neurosurgery intern. She enjoys all aspects of neurology especially neuroimaging, epilepsy and brain neoplasia. She is delighted to be working with such an experienced team of neurologists and neurology nurses and hopes to gain new knowledge, clinical and research skills whilst working at Eastcott.

She is passionate about education and positive mental health interventions for students and recent graduates and enjoyed teaching students when demonstrating at UCD and working at the AVC.

In her spare time she likes to keep active with hockey and sailing.
