Fiona Strange

Clinician in Veterinary Ophthalmology

Fiona graduated from the RVC in 2000. She began working in a general practice near Reading which she ended up buying in 2003. She thoroughly enjoyed owning and running a practice, the best bit being getting to know so many people and their pets. She opened another practice located in Goring-on-Thames in 2005.

In 2019 it was time for a new adventure as Fiona and her family moved to California. She also enjoyed working as a vet there, once she had taken final veterinary exams in the US , Fiona says ” Sitting final exams 20 years after doing so was living that bad recurring exam dream!” It was worth it as it turns out meeting American dogs and owners is just as fun.

Fiona has always had a keen interest in eyes and qualified as an Advanced Practitioner in Ophthalmology in 2018. When she returned to England in 2022, she decided to pursue a career in Ophthalmology and joined the Eastcott Ophthalmology team in January 2022.

Fiona is married, with 3 children and a dog. When she’s not looking after them she enjoys swimming and horse riding.
